Store Full DVD's on your Mac

Backup all your DVDs to Hard Disk with Drive-in, then you can search for any information about the movie including genre, actors, title, rating and more.

Drive-in is an innovative application that allows you to store your personal DVD library on your Mac.

Drive-in is a very useful tool for following people:
  1. Laptop owners who like to watch movies on the go
  2. DVD collectors with a home theater system
  3. Families who often misplace or damage DVDs

Using Drive-in you can create an image of a DVD disc on your laptop or home entertainment system. The image preserves the quality, navigation and special features of the original DVD and can be played using Apple's DVD Player or Front Row. Once you've stored movies to your hard drive - just browse, select and play!

Drive-in preserves the DVD's original content protection and allows you to play your images on any licensed computer in your household.

Download Drive-in (Version 1.0.1.1)

Create a DVD Image with Drive-in
  1. Insert a DVD, select "Open with Drive-in" from the dialog that appears, then click OK.
  2. Click the "Create Image" icon in the toolbar.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions and imaging will begin. It can be canceled at any time by clicking on the X to the right of the progress bar.

Note: The first time you play a DVD in your drive, the system sets the region code. If this has not been done, you will receive an error when attempting to image any DVD (i.e., "Can't Preserve CSS Protection" or "The DVD drive in this computer has not been set to a specific region"). Playing a DVD in the drive should correct the issue.
